The Board Leadership Institute is a non-degree custom executive education program offered by the Kellogg Center for Nonprofit Management in partnership with United Way of Metro Chicago. The program offers philanthropic business leaders the opportunity to learn about service on the boards of directors of local nonprofit organizations while deepening their knowledge of some of the challenges facing our city. Our holistic training and educational curriculum provides participants with a deep understanding of community opportunities as well, along with the tools to best leverage their skills in service of Greater Chicago.
Our training embodied the commitments that Board service requires, with regular sessions held over several months, including assignments completed between sessions. Upon successful program completion, each participant was awarded a Certificate and had the opportunity to be matched to a nonprofit organization to serve on the board of directors.
